I want to make a few extra bucks to fund some purchases. I feel like driving might suit me better than other s~~~ty part-time gigs.
Uber as a side gig? I want to make a few extra bucks to fund some purchase
Having two irons in the fire is certainly more than sensible. I didn’t drive on the side, but I tended bar for years when I was only employed with 9 month contracts. Never content to do just “one thing”.
As a part-time Uber driver, you can write off part of your car and auto expenses too(!). So even a few extra hours a week can make a difference there.
There is ONE little caveat to working TOO hard though.
With the extra job(s), I found myself having to compensate. I would eat out more, not have time for laundry so I would send my shirts out, take more cabs because I was running late etc. Before I realized it, I found myself working a second job just to support having a second job!! And that’s just hamster spinning, so you want to be conscious about some kind of balance.
I.E if you spend a lot of time sitting at you current job, you don’t want to be +4 hours sitting on your ass in a car either. Things like that.
There’s “working hard”, and there’s working SMART.
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.I’ll tell you from experience at this point, there’s very little money in it. Go here are read posts.
Be professional be polite but always have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
thanks for all the replies fellas. Yeah… I don’t think it is worth the wear & tear on your vehicle as well. I guess I will have to keep mulling over ideas.
I really want to do some more investing and start saving for some purchases. I just want to do a side gig for like 6 months and use that extra money for that fund.
