There is a video put out by “Collegehumor” entitled “The Problem with Brogrammers.”

It depicts men as immature idiots while women are portrayed as sensible and practical. The video is meant to recruit women as programmers. Why couldn’t the video just show women doing a good job at programming without resorting to this silly portrayal of men? How can that be acceptable in today’s PC world?

The good news is that there are tons of negative comments responding to the video. I don’t have a YouTube account, but if you do, have at it.

I sort of was. Thank goodness for all of those female engineers up until the micro processor. Where ever would men be without their infinite wisdom of all things CREATED BY MAN!

Because, by and large, women are really s~~~ty programmers.

And the only way to make women look good is by tearing down men.

This is a promotion for girls-who-code-dot-com?

Shouldn’t they have CODED their website from scratch? Instead of relying on frameworks and modules already built and created by MEN? And the way the commercial is implying men are incompetent and women will debug it? That’s embarrassing.

    Some of their libraries:
MAN – Jonathan Neal – polyfill
MAN – John Resig – JQuery
MAN – Dave Artz – Jquery Sonar
MAN – Mika Tuupola – Lazy Load

When you’re all about trying to convince the world that “girls code”, then girls should probably code it! That’s like a man in a delivery room screaming about labour pains.

“thousands of girls who are using computer science to solve problems they care about”

    “OMG INSTAGRAM IS DOWN!!”

“JUST TWEET YOUR STARBUCKS CUP TO ME!!”

    We’re a national non-profit organization

    “Non-profit”. You don’t say.
Let that really sink in. “Girls Who Code” are not profitable. Nationwide.

Because women created computers, thought up TCP/IP, wired university and government systems together, shared research and technology through them, crafted hyperlinking and text markup tools, came up with ways to use them for telecommunications, information exchange and commerce… then crafted wireless communication systems along with mobile devices that could use them… and finally finished it up with millions of applications to take advantage of it all quickly, easily and from the quiet privacy of your own couch at home…

so they could detect lead in the water. Which you can now do with a kit that costs $11, available on Amazon.com and delivered to your door in three days.

    Thank you, ladies.

How sad. I used to watch Collegehumor. They made some very funny s~~~ back in the day.

Not really surprised they decided to post bulls~~~ misandrist propaganda to appease the Buzzfeeders and Tumblerinas.
