In today’s Times (uk) a story of a man who killed himself having been a few months into a whirlwind romance with a celeb here. It seemed he had a history of depression but his ex partner had commented on his new relationship recently saying she was really hopeful his new relationship worked out as he was a brilliant man. That obviously means she overlooked his brilliance in order to dump him. Maybe he was on the rebound. Maybe he thought he was about to be dumped by the celeb. But I immediately thought of a comment on here that said men who have a number of women in their lives don’t end up killing themselves over a woman.
I speak as a man that self harmed over a girl when I was 17. I was Hollywood blue – polled. It took me bad break ups and a divorce to appreciate no woman is worth that or even a bout of depression.
Anyway. Rest in peace fellow man.

Damn it all. It sickens me more and more every time I see this. As someone who went through my own thoughts of suicide, I know what it feels like to gradually fall apart until… well, the rest is history.

I wrote more up on this, but it doesn’t feel right. I will observe though that nothing screams seeking validation from others/women more than wearing your boots unlaced etc. (from a pure superficial, outwards sense)
There is no reason you would ever do that for functionality.
