Looking at the current situation, the Middle East has split into two distinct factions plus failed states like Libya and Afghanistan that have no real governments or allegiances.

The Saudi-Israel-US-coalition bloc has depended on air power and ISIS to do their dirty work. Plus US sanctions serve to economically destroy a country’s ability to fight. This works well against small nations.

With the arrival of both China and Russia that situation has changed. Russia offers military stability and China economic expansion. Both are necessary and have proven to stabilise the region. Iran is the main player that links the Islamic world against Wahhabi ideology.

There are no quick solutions. The Russia-China-Iran partnership is looking at the long term picture. They know the US is the main guarantor of war and depends on its economic ability to fund the military alliance through the petrodollar system.

It will not be long until the USA is forced by economic and social necessity to withdraw from the ME. Russia and China need to do nothing more than to ensure immediate stability in the region. The rest will take care of itself as nations regroup and reform their priorities away from the old world order.

I’ve met Palestinians in Dearborn, MI. Basically, they are being treated like Native Americans. They are forced into smaller and smaller reservations. The goal is Ethnic Cleansing of the region.

The Palestinians I talked with, told me the area was a lot more peaceful before Israel. Muslims, Christians, Jews living as neighbors. That is what they told me, at least.

As an outsider it seems like that region will always be a contested area. All trade routes pass through that area, so it will always be fought over. From Ancient Sumer right down through the present. That is one part of the world I would never want to go. I call it the UN-HOLY land because of its history of violence.
