Can you Play the Piano? It sucks that I can not play things by ear. It takes me FOREVER to get it down. I just have like the worst musical memory ever. Love it, but just can’t make the great things in my head come to life.

It’s like when I sing. I can sing along, but can’t do it on my own most of the time. I either forget the words or how the song melody goes. Some people work all their life for money. I just want more talent.

Even though I composed the piano melody (and everything else) in my demo video, I still couldn’t sit down at a piano and play it. But that’s the beauty; today’s digital audio workstation technology transcends the need for manual dexterity in order to get the song out of your head and into other people’s ears. I started off as a DJ before I moved over into music production.

I posted this to the MGTOW site because, at least for me and the path I’m on, going your own way doesn’t have to equate to social banishment. Music production is what took over my life when I walked away from my social circles, which is something I’ve done more than once in my adult life. This is what I filled all of my new-found spare time with.

Um, bro, Music kind of expands your social circle. How did it get smaller? That only happens if you go into Christian rock LOL!

LMMS is pretty darn similar, but I have to admit, I have to learn WAY more about Plugins, and so much more.

There is so much you can do with Digital audio. There is no doubt. But I find that it limits me. In fact, one thing I find is that it sort of makes most music sound the same.

I like that Deadmouse puts real analogue stuff in his mixes. But to me, he is good, but not like Ferry corsten good. Something about Live music and live performances are just great.

I’m that guy that still loves the beautiful sound of the analog music. Sure, it has some mistakes. Okay. But that is why I love REM. Man those guys back in the day. WHOA!

One day man, I am going to have to work with a guy that can help me put together a track that is all mine. I think EDM should be part of both. The wonderful full PHAT synth strings with LUSH open backgrounds and strings.

And Women’s voices. I love them. You know, I am a sucker for a woman that can play a Piano. Or an instrument. Sad. It’s what I enjoyed the most about the women I was with. Music.

My sister actually can sing. But like most, they don’t really bother with their talent.

I really just want to play a green day song all on the guitar and sing it live. I think I will try to do that this summer. TIme of your life I think.

Um, bro, Music kind of expands your social circle. How did it get smaller?

Music is indeed social, but the act of practicing is solitary. I didn’t just sit down at my digital audio workstation and bang out my first track, there was a learning curve along with requisite study on my part. Point being, I dove head-first into my new hobby after I walked away and it led to a whole new social circle, along with an awesome new side-career in music. It took time. I don’t think one has to choose music as their hobby along this path, but for those who are musically inclined, I would recommend it.

My preferred DAW is actually FL Studio for production, and when I DJ live (which isn’t often anymore), I use Ableton Live. I like to do ‘live-pa’, which is where you go from a popular dance track, let’s say Cher, and I lead directly into my own original track which I’m producing live on-the-spot, and then I go back into something popular like, say, AVICCI, and the music remains beat-matched the entire time. There’s a ton of different DAWs out there but for live-pa I prefer Ableton Live.

I REALLY got to learn how to Program DMX controls so I can sync them with video and music. Man, have you checked out Trance Jeroin? Man, that dude makes some MAD MIXES!

I’ll check out your stuff man. WOuld it be cool as HELL to do an ONLINE live show? Like Lights video in real time? DUDE THAT WOULD BE EPIC!

You know, E.g, I would LOVE to make some trance tracks that really just could show my soul in musical notes. Combine that with light, and music. Pyrotechnics, and so much more.

You remember the Gravitron? Man that was the COOLEST Carnival ride ever. Imagine setting that all up to play EDM or GOA trace? TO bad the motors don’t acclerlate fast enough to make the sliders go with the beat.

I’m thinking that it would be so cool to combine not just music and dancing at these things, but to tell a whole story with a music style venu that was more like a rock opera. Something that would get the crowd to dance along with the story and music.

Going to a concert at something like Disney land would be close to how it should be. But the people have to move or do motions in order to get the story to move to the next chapter.

You could even make it green. The crowd could be dancing on a floor with piezoelectric devices, that would make power as they move. Whoa!

One thing I wish is that they would have more dancers on the stage at these shows instead of just the DJ’s. Kind of how Marilyn Manson does it in his music videos.

You know, doing a LIVE transmission of this out to space would be REALLY COOL!

EDM and electronic music just makes me happy. It gives hope. It makes you almost forget about the world how it is. And it’s fun.
Keep making great things E.g. Music really is the only thing that will be left after we are all gone. You know? I wonder if there is any music from the WAY back in the past. I wonder what it sounds like? Hopefully one day, we might find like some old Fossil record, or some kind of tape that MAY still have music on it. Boy would that be cool.
