    Next month I am taking the class to get my Amateur Radio – Technician Class license.

    Anyone else have this? Maybe we could radio in the future.

    Anyone use this as a spring board to do something else?

    Yes, I too am an amateur radio operator. It is a great hobby, and it can be a form of community service such as providing communications in areas stricken by disaster.
