Am I an idiot?

A bit awhile ago I posted a topic about this new job offer that I received, and now I’ve accepted it in hopes of better opportunities and better pay.

Anyway they already managed to screw me over it two ways. Told the HR woman TWICE that I need two weeks notice to let my boss know I’m f~~~ing of. She left me with no choice but to accept in a week. So now I royally have to screw the guy over, as he is now short on staff and having problems finding people to cover shifts. Although the current company are no angels at all, and had me wait and beg for shifts when I was their temporary slave.

And now my favorite is the wage part. At first she offered me 16$ at this Biology position, and now she says that I will be working in Chem department but slightly more complex tasks. What’s interesting is that my wage is now going to be 14.50$. So I suppose the more complex the task is, the lower the wage should be right?

Anyway now I’m already thinking about how soon I will leave them after I get some experience. They have this Mission Statement that includes something about Honestly and Integrity. In my opinion they already f~~~ed up with that. There is no honesty nor integrity in screwing over people. This temporary contract also gives them the right of law to fire me at any time for whatever the f~~~ reason.

Yet I’m thinking that I’ve still made the right choice, as these security jobs are plentiful. There is no real future in the security guard industry, but I might stand some chance in this position to “make it”. But I can already see having to deal with BS. F~~~ it I’ve decided that I won’t want to live pass 50 anyway. Probably blow myself up into some government building. I am 30 and already getting fed up with all this BS about being a good slave.

Why do you care about screwing your ex employer since it isn’t your choice and he wasn’t kind towards you?
You tried to not screw him, but it isn’t you choice, you have done enough by doing all you could do, so who cares?

I wouldn’t be so negative if I would be in you. There will be more and more need of security in the next 10 years, you have just to specialize even more.
Making plans or projects extending beyond 10 years is stupid given the current extremely fluid and changing society.

It’s insane how companies get away with this BS.

My previous job had me working more hours every year for no increase in money. It was physically demanding and went from an average of 25 hour week to about 30+ hours a week with no pay increase.

They used to say that they could get anyone off the street to do the hard manual labour, true but not keeping the hours down to 6hrs a day without a break.

Thing that kept me going was not the s~~~ty wage, but the lifestyle and freedom of working my own hours and outside an office.

Stick to ghosting these HR heffers, they will learn, pay peanuts, they get monkeys.

That is pretty much all I needed to hear. One I do get some experience and save up enough money I plan on starting my own company or some kind of business. If by 50 I’m not successful then I will do the ALLAHY AKBAR into Ottawa.

It is true too. But I am a man of honor and even though when someone screws me over I do not try and get back at them. But in this case, yeah if he doesn’t get it then f~~~ it.

My supervisor though was very unhappy to hear, and even gave me attitude about leaving too early. Told him I have no choice and he even barked back about this Common courtesy s~~~…

On my final day, as this f~~~er arrives I will just get up an leave without saying goodbye and good luck.

It is a fact that the society is ever changing now, and same goes for the jobs. As robots take over, most of the left over work will be left to CEOs and their minions. Forget about factory and hands on kind of work in the future. They are already extinct.

Seriously: my attitude towards employers is the same that I have towards women, zero f~~~s given. I rely on my knowledge while at work. The good thing is that my employer knows well when it’s the case of counting on me, and when it’s not: when it’s trivial boring things usually he doesn’t even try, when it’s a delicate thing he directly call me.
Three weeks ago there have been annual awards (it isn’t symbolic, it’s money) and I didn’t take it (in 2015 I took it), the next week there was a quite important job to do but the kind I don’t like, he tried turning around it by starting offering me a coffee:
“What about a coffee…”
“No”
“Don’t you want a coffee?”
“Yes to the coffee, no to the s~~~ty task. You know why” 😀

Reading that you have integrity makes you the better man, Russky2. Frankly, the main reason people should be hired for sensitive jobs should rely on integrity (besides work-experience etc.), because without it, the employers are only going to f~~~ themselves in the ass. Now that you’ve accepted the job, see if you can cut short the time you spend in traffic + lower expenses, unless you’re already covered. I live very very inexpensive myself, and I thank the master(s) of fortune for that! Otherwise I’d spend at least twice as much on living-space as I’m doing right now.
