All of my songs are non-fiction and mostly autobiographical. This one is just another chapter in my life. From 2012 to 2016 my now ex-wife(Thank God) took me to divorce court for 4 years, hired the most cutthroat lawyers that bombarded me with seizures, subpoenas , frozen assets and everything under the sun to make me collapse. They were nasty to put it mildly.
Me I’m an easygoing guy and nothing really gets to me that much. So while they were busy day and night trying to figure ways to skin me alive, I just sat at home and wrote a song describing the situation.. Remember, this is my situation and doesn’t necessarily apply to anybody else although some people might identify with it and women just reverse the roles if it’s ever happened to you.

Have a laugh, this was just another day in my life that one day I’m going to write a book about.

Regarding Aldo Nova’s ‘hard work’

His most recent studio album was released 30 years after his prior album.

And there was a 27 year gap with his touring schedule. He had not been on tour at one point in almost three decades.

I would not necessarily call that ‘hard work’. More like living off of existing publishing rights.

(Sidenote: Another, almost three decade vacation musician is Vinnie Vincent from his time with KISS followed by Vinnie Vincent’s Invasion. He has not released a studio album in over 30 years and has not been on tour in 29 years)

Update on my mention of Vinnie Vincent (KISS, VV Invasion) not touring in three decades.

There was hope, in terms of his March – May 2019 tour. But he had his attorney send the promoters a head up yesterday that he is cancelling it. LOL

And I have NO idea where the hell his money comes from since KISS (Gene & Paul) own the rights to the material he wrote / co-wrote on two albums and Chrystalis Records own the rights to both Vinnie Vincent Invasion albums.

I guess that t-shirt and merchandise sales from his website and appearances at KISS conventions must pay for a studio apartment somewhere.

I saw Vinnie Vincent LIVE around 1988. I think they opened for Maiden ? Tacoma dome.
