$60 billion approved by the US government to “bailout” airlines
Which is funny because is the last five years, the same major carriers that are now getting bailout money all spent a combined total of $46 billion on 01: Buying back large amounts of their their own stock 02: Executive bonuses 03: Dividends to shareholders
So this is just a message to most “Too Big To Fail” corporations in the US that they don’t ever have to keep emergency money on the side for a crisis because taxpayers will always be there to bail them out.
And the initial $60 billion is just the beginning.
Because that is only about 10% of what will be needed for commercial airlines.
