So we had an active shooter prevention survial class. 400 people in the science place all spent 2 hours on this. Read a lot of money. Is this the new normal to have classes like this?

Or is this related to our upcoming lay offs?

This is the weirdest place I every worked

Ask the highest ranking person at that “class”:

If you have to have this class in the first place, what does that say about this company?

If a company has ANY fear of this ever happening, then you KNOW they are up to no good. Of course, the bigger the company the less personal and probably the more “likely” a target for such an event, but still.

Not sure if I have said this here before but, I think one of the greatest Propaganda “Stunts” ever was the “don’t talk to a stranger” campaign. In one nationally sponsored “event” the media, in essence, accused 99.999% of every stranger in the country as a potential threat. Basically we need to Fear that 0.001 of the population and treat the other 99.999% the same distrustful way.

Now, why would you want your employees to even think “a shooter event” could happen? Seriously, the odds are better of being struck by lightening, winning the lottery, etc.

Sure seems the Fear agenda gets ratcheted up a fraction every single day now does it not?

I did ask if we were going to practice.

    Yes, I’m going to hell.

How about a paintball weekend out in the country.

I once had a job in mall security for 2.5 years. The management was p~~~ poor and the Director reminded me of someones step child who was overly neglected most of his life and now he acts like a narcissistic bafoon who is never wrong, ever. Anyways, this guy wasn’t too bright so every quarter we had a meeting. What was it about you ask? Active shooter, every friggin quarter. That’s all he knew how to teach. Did they give us guns, NO. They told us to just run as fast as we could. SO… Those of you who didn’t have the training yet sorry I spoiled it with the spoiler. Run as fast as you can! The good side is that I just saved all of you a 3 hr. class.
