A little project that I’m working on for one of my clients has turned into a f~~~ing soap opera.

This wench who owns a company and gets off on the sheer power of it like a crack addict fired two workers that my client quickly picked up. These guys worked for this wench about a year and stupidly stored all of their data going back 15 years in a cloud system she controls. She promised them 30 days to get their data.. Of course, she reneged on the deal and cut them off after 2 days.

The IT guy she fired 6 months ago and I front ran her and got the guys’ data for them. We just don’t trust wenches.

    Two lessons:

    1) Don’t trust wenches
    2) Don’t keep your data solely in the cloud.

Another post with the word “wench” 😉

A woman’s word isn’t worth the oxygen used to speak it.

I love using the term “wench.” It makes a lot of dudes I know laugh, because they know I don’t curse and thus I look for substitutions to those words. 😛

    Word? We men have word…

Wenches are like parrots. They TALK.

    Nothing more.

Wench is good. My favorite is Skirt. A very 50’s word for the skirts in the workplace.

On Wednesday morning, I met a female for the first time for a meeting. There was no handshake at all. It’s a foreign concept to them. I don’t even reach out because I know she’s completely full of s~~~. Three hours later, my suspicion was confirmed and she was lying through her teeth. I really believe women don’t eagerly reach out and look you in the face for a firm handshake because it means nothing to them.

Wench means more than just female. It means one who is weak willed, fickle, childlike, undependable. As such it’s entirely accurate to @chauvinistpig‘s description of that wench.

yeah, I know what it means. Was trying to make a joke.

that’s outstanding…I poor my soul & guts into this site these past 2 days, so I can get a definition to a word I know.

    wow…

Edit: I go to renaissance festivals & wench is used there often…at least the females there aren’t as bad as the one CP was talking about it.

I’m still smiling from the aftereffects of that laughing. Thanks for the post, OP, and the follow-up posts, all you guys. I love a day with laughter in it.

I didn’t mean for you to take it like that. I just wanted to point out that the word is particularly apt to CPig’s example, especially what with someone recently apparently taking issue with the word “wench” being used here (despite the fact that this very thread has probably doubled the instances of it on this site).

I’ve always figured they probably wouldn’t be so quick to proclaim themselves wenches if they knew its proper meaning. Most women these days would much rather be called slutty than immature. Then again, damsel isn’t nearly as much fun to say. And I know one woman who proudly calls herself a fishwife.

at least the females there aren’t as bad as the one CP was talking about it.

Without a doubt. Not for nothing is the adage: “If you can’t get laid in the SCA…”

I don’t honestly remember the last time I asked for and accepted the word of a female. I’ve had several lately tell me they were going to do this or that important and life-changing thing but never do it… unsurprisingly. The worst case for me lately is that I paid a female to do a job for me that she thereafter did not do. After a week I wrote her and the job off and she’s twice now told me that she’s going to get around to it but still hasn’t. That’s not terribly surprising either, I suppose.

They say if you want to find out a person’s true character, lend them $50. Well it was more than $50 but yes, I did learn her true character so that was probably worth the price.

Hold on, I’m trying to think of one I’ve ever met who is not a wench…….FAIL. They’re all wenches. Thanks Sidecar for the concise definition.

I stand corrected good sir & thanks for sharing your take in detail like that. I was unaware that we were under fire with using the wench word. Now I am tempted to just spam endless threads with it in the title as well is in every post. Poor taste on my part for responding the way I did. My bad on that man.

I’ve always figured they probably wouldn’t be so quick to proclaim themselves wenches if they knew its proper meaning. Most women these days would much rather be called slutty than immature. That’s no s~~~ on that. The last time I saw my 2nd XW, she had gone super slutty, as well as reached landwhale (so hard not to steal KM’s word here) critical mass. She tried like hell to get me to acknowledge her new “found” being sexy, strong & liberated “pitch” and I could tell it chapped her ass. Me thinking of her as a hussy, wench, bitch, or anything else, to me, just seemed too good for her. As for the fishwife…just damn, wow.

Without a doubt. Not for nothing is the adage: “If you can’t get laid in the SCA…”

I laughed at that & hell ya, hear ya.

Hold on, I’m trying to think of one I’ve ever met who is not a wench…….FAIL. They’re all wenches. Thanks Sidecar for the concise definition.

I am all hand’s on deck with his take as well…agreed. Had my perspective tainted & jaded because of the wenches at the festivals.

You made some great points Doc, and it makes me wonder, after reading everyone’s take here regarding these wenches, why are they even allowed to verbalize wedding vows & make promises & give consent? When they don’t even have their word, unable and/or unwilling to keep it, and just talk talk.

    Wenches, wenches & wenches

Just had to. Oh, and did I mention wenches? 😛

Edit: Made me think of this song from way back when…when it comes to them.
