I have always enjoyed the educational/commercial films of the 40’s and 50’s. Too bad that there is not a 24/7 cable channel with only these “hysterically Historical” documentaries.

Oxygen and acetylene is brutally expensive now-a-days. I try not to use it unless there is absolutely no other alternative.
I read online about using a 50/50 mix of acetone and transmission fluid as a penetrant for seized parts. I tried it to free up a seized distributor a couple of years ago and it really works! The acetone/tranny fluid worked when nothing else that I had would…

That makes allot of sense, trany fluid has detergents in it, that’s why it not recommended for rack and pinion powersteering, causes leaks, the acetone being so thin and oil/water soluble it gets into anything, 50/50, I’ll mix up a bottle tomorrow for sure!
It is funny as HCCI technology is going to take over.
