I have known this female friend since we were 7 years old. We are both in our twenties now. I remember when we were teenagers and she used me as her emotional tampon anytime her asshole boyfriends treat her like crap. Her younger brother whom i am still good friends with warned her numerous times not to date assholes. I distanced myself from her for a while and last year she called me out of the blue and asked we hang out at her place. I foolishly went to her place thinking nothing dodgy would happen. I sat and enjoyed the dinner with my “close” family friends.
All of a sudden her parents started talking about me being her future husband. I was irritated and shocked. I did not want to reply rudely to her parents to i laughed it off. Next day, she called me and asked me when am I taking her out on a date. It was then i didn’t give a s~~~ and cut the line immediately. Few days later her younger brother texts me and says she complained to her parents that i rejected her LOL. Before i know it my parents are knocking on my door asking if i physically and emotionally abused my female friend. My parents told me that their family friends informed them that i called my female friend names and tried to hit on her WTF.

Since then i cut all ties between her and her family…I keep n touch with her younger brother a few times but it is mostly “hello” and “hi”.
