Anonymous43Good morning. It’s 12:05am my time, and I am having trouble sleeping. Something is troubling me, and I need some sort of outlet for my restlessness.
I am looking for work again. I had a career in education, and that fell apart. I took some time off, put myself back together and found a job at a big orange hardware store. That job was hard, dirty, and left me sore and tired. It had been a long time since I worked a physically demanding job. I loved it. The men I worked with were top notch, the work wasn’t difficult but we had a sense of accomplishment. Some nights we tore entire aisles apart, put them back together relabeled and cleaned everything up. I was very proud of the job I was doing, and right about the time I left, I thought I was getting good at my job, after about 8 weeks. My boss trusted me with a data entry device, planograms, pricing and labeling items and entering in product locations for online order pickers to fill orders efficiently. Everyone on the team counted on each other to get the tasks done on time, on budget and safely.
I left that store and returned to school in hopes of working toward a better career later. That did not work out, computer problems and the class structure as well as the subject matter proved to be too difficult for me to overcome. I also am dealing with some medical issues. I withdrew from school and took up tutoring a couple college students for rent money. Great, but not a good way to go.
I have a job interview on Tuesday, a management trainee job. I hope I land this position. The money is good, the hours are long, but there is a track to manage one of these branches in a couple three years. Perfect. While I am doing this, I am going to study coding and computer repair. I want to earn some certificates along the way.
DYD I know you are hurting, and maybe you think we all have perfect lives. Yes, most of the guys here have established careers. Awesome for them. But guys like us, we have to struggle to find the right fit. We got a late start. I thought I was set, married to a woman who made a crap load of money, house, kids, the whole American dream, I was going back to school, I would teach in the neighborhood school and whatever I made was the kids college money. One day that all fell apart. I needed a plan B. I went back to school, liven in my car, and I eventually crawled up out of the horrible place the c~~~ thought she put me, and I fought every f~~~ing day to get where I am. And where I am sucks, for now.
So when I left school, I thought I failed again. Dammit I moved from Florida to Kansas, enrolled in school, got an apartment, bought a bed, and I stumbled again. But I did not fail. I found something that I was not able to do. I got out before I did damage t myself, and moved on. Yes it sucks to drive past the campus every morning to go do things. I sucked it up, and I am driving on.
DYD, i don’t know if you are accountable to anyone. Your family and we, your red pill brothers are standing back waiting for you to take action. Ya ain’t doing anything, in fact you did damage to yourself the way you left the last job. When I was struggling with my teaching job or looking for a new job, I used this forum as a way to be accountable to someone. I am accountable to all of the brothers here and anyone who reads this stuff. I get pm, texts and phone calls encouraging me to keep going, not to give up, etc.
We have noticed on the zoom that your behavior, demeanor and your physical environment have been on a rapid decline. We are watching you fall into the pit, and we desperately want to help, but we cant. At some point you will be crushed, or get angry enough to make the changes yourself.
So, here is my challenge to you, DYD. I want you to find a job and be successful. I want that so that you can be a man going his own way. In 20 years I want some film company to announce DYD is directing the next James Bond film. Right now, you are not a MGTOW. You are dependent upon family for the food you eat, and the roof over your head. I want you to get out of your present situation. You are bored now. At some point you need to be angry. When you are angry, you will make changes necessary to get your life back into a productive mode. I want to make you so p~~~ed off that you find a way to track me down and punch me in the face. You are bored with your life? Really? You are existing, you are not living. Get up and fight you English f~~~! Get up off that chair and fight for your life.
I fill out at least 30 job applications every day, mostly to retail companies in the area, within a 30 mile radius. I get 30 emails and phone calls a day from hiring managers who want to talk to me. They want to know what I can offer, what is my demeanor, do I want to work. What work experience do I have? Can I carry on an intelligent conversation. Then I am invited for an interview. I will take an entry level job, work it for a while but still look for a better job. Work at a grocery store may lead to something else.
YOu guys give me s~~~ for not having a couch. The couch is my incentive for finding a job. Get a job, work it a while, earn the money to buy a couch. I will find the ugliest goofiest plaid couch I can just to show you guys that I made it. I will cover that f~~~er in cat pelts and beaver tails just to put y’all in your place.
So the challenge. I have done maybe 15 minutes of looking for a job in your area. I used the job posting site indeed.com. It is the same site I use here in the US. I found 5 jobs that deal with video technology in your area and I showed them to others on the site. Find these job postings on indeed…type in your city, the word Video in the search, and you will see what I found. I found jobs that even I would be qualified for, and could probably bulls~~~ my way into an interview. I want you to search for these jobs and apply for them. Then PM me the names of the companies you applied to. Every 2 days, I will ask you or you tell me what progress you have made on these 5 jobs. If I have to ask you for an update, I will not be happy. I will be downright surly if I have to chase you down.
I want you to be accountable to me, so that you can get your s~~~ together. As part of your incentive to perform I suggest that you give up something until you make progress on your job search. Zoom. No Zoom until you apply to at least 30 jobs. It is time to get sovereignty back in your life DYD. I can’t believe I have to tell a grown man to get off his ass and fight for his own life on another f~~~ing continent, but god dammit I care enough about your sorry ass that your bulls~~~ is keeping me up. But here I am at 12:45 on a Friday morning booting you in the head.
Do you have a resume? A listing of work and education history, a list of skills, interests and future goals? No? make one. Microsoft Word has templates to help you create a resume. If that does not work, I am sure you could go to any college on Planet Earth to a career center where there will be people there who can help you write a resume. I visited the university here for some resume ideas and interview practice sessions. There are books and information of contacts and company names in the career center. There are so many ways to find a job that do not involve moping around in your room.
Next, interview clothing. While you are at this career center, ask the people there what people wear for interviews. For outside sales jobs I think a suit and tie is appropriate. Do you have a suit and tie? Are they in good order? Clean, pressed? Do you have dress shoes…polished, look presentable?
Third. Sampson lost his strength when he cut his hair. I think you will lose your s~~~ty attitude if you cut your hair and trim your beard. You want to look professional, want to be treated as a professional, look like a goddamn professional. You can be creative with your look after you have made your drop dead money and you open your own shop. Until then, you need to clean up and look like a company man. YOu have to earn the right to look like a slob while working.
next, your video equipment. Use it every day. You bought the s~~~. Get it out of the cases and put the s~~~ to work. Create a video assignment for yourself, create a portfolio of work. Set up a blog on the internet, and post your videos there. I will give you an assignment. I want to see a 12 minute video of stop signs in your city. I want to see dutch angles, I want to see tilt shift, I want to see fade effects, blur, sepia, something that says you know how to f~~~ around with a camera. Creative editing, dramatic music, vertigo falling focus, music, lighting. Demonstrate proficiency to a prospective employer. I want the blog and the video on You Tube on December 1, 2017. One week. My father’s birthday. He liked stop signs, honor my late father by making a video about stop signs.
Lastly. Its nice that you hang out here. Not sure what you get from this site. After today I think now that the ice is broken, all you will get is encouragement and tough love. Not one man here can help you get what you need. Only you can do that, that is make contacts in the real world, in your community. None of us is a filmmaker. But I know where there are film makers. There are filmmakers in colleges. The professors who teach film studies classes also make films as part of their obligations to maintain their tenure.
I took a film studies class and my professor was making a film about American President Abraham Lincoln’s wife. I helped him with research, built some furniture for his film, and had a part as an extra. Use the film studies/photography professors as your first contacts into the film world. Those people are committed to sharing their passion with their students, and I’m sure they will share with you. I can’t help you with this, but if you want to pm me updates on your progress or use me and the other guys as a sounding board, we will be happy to listen and offer suggestions. Professor know people in the business, former students, former employers, other people they know. Take that professor’s name and use it to talk to the next person in the chain.
One last suggestion. This one will be hard for you to believe, and so I’m asking you to take this bit of advice on faith. People will hire you based on your passion for their job. Get a prospective employer talking about their job, and then pile on how you can add value to that person’s job, they wont care that you don’t have an advanced degree in whatever you decide to pursue up to a point. Professional jobs require degrees and certificates. Creative arts, maybe not so much. Show these people your video, show them the equipment that you have, and here is the absolute one thing that will get you what you want…Ready…ask these people to help you with your project, ask for help in learning more about making films. Can I get your opinion on, how do I make a rising action shot look dramatic with this lens? How can I edit better cut scenes… Then say ok let me try it and can I come back and show you what I have done? Pm me the names of the chain of contacts you make. Start with university professors.
All of what I suggested takes b~~~~. It takes b~~~~, time, and some hard work.
Every morning I wake up, I scratch my ass and look in the bathroom mirror and ask my self “How bad do you want it?” It meaning a job, pride and satisfaction that comes from working, and the ability to look another man in the eye who is also working. How bad do I want it? Very very badly.
SO what do you say amigo? Are you up to my challenge? Keep me updated on the job search, create a blog, make a movie about stop signs and get a list of contacts starting with university professors. No zoom until you accomplish these things.

Here’s the big goal. Obtain an internship or employment by December 24, 2017. This will be the best Christmas present all of us will have ever been given, your sovereignty will be the greatest gift you can ever have. 30 days from now, job. This goal is achievable. As far as DYD is concerned he will not. I am afraid he is one s~~~ty comment away from living on the street. I am afraid that is what it will take. I cannot help DYD any further and it sucks. He knows the deal and how we all feel. El C~~~o chewed his ass for almost 30 minutes last week. DYD just left without saying anything.
At the end of the day it is up to him. May you are going to be severely disappointed. DYD is not capable of accomplishing any of what you mentioned. I hope he proves me WRONG. But……………….

I’m sure DYD feels betrayed, probably by some people, and probably by me for the lashing I gave him on zoom. But there comes a point where you have to stop giving someone sound advice – for them to go “umm, yeah.. umm.. you’re absolutely right”, but do NOTHING with the advice given. At some point you have to start giving the tough love, and start telling someone what they don’t want to hear. The harsh reality.
I WANT DYD to succeed. But what I want, or what anyone wants means nothing if the man doesn’t want it for himself. Life isn’t easy. You get a s~~~ sandwich most of the time. But it’s what you do with that sandwich that determines where you end up in life. Expecting to have the perfect job, making 5 figures, where you don’t have to deal with women, or blue pill, or manginas… It happens.. For maybe 2% of society. Everyone else has to f~~~ing suck it up! We don’t always get to do what we want, or what we’re passionate about in life. We don’t all get a fairytale ending. Society tells us we can be and do whatever we want to be, but the reality is – it’s all feelgood bulls~~~. It’s not the real world.
DYD hasn’t hit bottom yet. Until his attitude changes, and his motivation changes, his situation will not. Men are just tired of hearing you complain about your situation but making no active movements to progress it forward bro.

I dont know that beating someone up is helpful in this situation.
Periods of unemployment(ive been there) can make it hard to get your work ethic going again.I have wrestled with self destuctive tendencies in my younger days.
