Hello everyone, I came across an interesting article explaining what a housewife should do in the 1950s. Now I don’t want to make this discussion about those were the good old days because there were atrocities occurring on minorities and organized crime. The article focused on keeping the men (the source of income) happy. This explains why so many men found it necessary to find a good woman and settle down. A stark contrast today. No modern marriage is designed to keep a man happy.

    Here’s the article: http://www.littlethings.com/1950s-good-housewife-guide-vas/

If it costs you your peace of mind, then it is too expensive.

I was a child in the 70s, and have gotten to see in my lifetime women and mothers go from traditional to insane.

It has not been fun to watch.

Society (now Soviety) has likewise completely f~~~ing imploded.

Sad to think that just sixty years ago, things were relatively sane.

"You can either love women, or understand women. You can't do both. Because once you understand women, you realize that there is really nothing to love."

I was also young in the 70’s and I have some real vivid memories of the day I visited the Junior High School where my mom taught and seeing those much older girls sitting and chatting in the study hall during noon hour. I remember they had pushed several desks onto a small circle. It was probably the first time I’d seen older girls in groups like that wearing bell bottoms and colorful t-shirts..
The seventies was a time where nearly everyone in school from junior high on up dressed and acted a little bit like flower children and hippies. My dad taught the higher grade levels and I also visited a liberal arts college, at that time, where he worked.
I remember seeing those older college gals – as compared to me being much younger – walking around the campus with the wide frayed bell bottoms of their jeans dragging on the sidewalks. Almost all the girls had very long hippie hair and I remember seeing them carrying books in tapestry style bags over one shoulder. My older sister was a student there and I visited the girls dorm with her. One of the things I can remember were the black light posters. Lots of black light stuff.
The girls were really friendly even though I was just a kid brother and I can remember a couple of them sitting around my sisters dorm room eating chips out of a vending machine size bag and listening to Carole King music. I remember that they had an incense stick burning and the room smelled sandalwood. The experience must have stuck with me because, I even remember sitting and looking at the album cover where Carole sat next to a window with a cat in the picture.
Back then, I actually liked those girls because they were really laid back, friendly and fun to be around. They certainly weren’t real hippies or authentic flower children; but they kind of gave off those vibes in a small way. Just easy going and fun.
I almost wish I could go back and live through the seventies; this time being the right age to fit in as a college student. Remember, this was so far back that ABBA had yet to appear on the scene and release their first hit.

That link alone will send a few dozen patriarchy hating feminists up in flames; expect another attack on our website.

The cost is women’s happiness. In old times she didn’t get to go head to head with men. In modern times she doesn’t get to act feminine without first consulting with strong & independent manual v2.0 printed by feminists.

Misogyny joke of the day: You are such a sweet girl, I am sure you’d find the right man. Keep looking.

Any news if a time machine is being developed ? I want to go my own way in the 1950s ?

Barring a time machine, maybe some entrepreneur will start manufacturing Stepford Wives. I’ve been burned too many times to settle for a human wife, no matter how canny her approach at first.

    Good catch!

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

I think women should be able to choose if they want to be a June Cleaver or a career woman or anything in between. The problem now is women are made to feel like traitors and failures if they choose the traditional route and need state intervention to go the career route. They are getting lower standards to pass in education and employment than men get. Society is trying to make/help women succeed but have really taken away any chance of a woman feeling and actually earning success. How can a woman feel successful when she is surrounded by men who had higher standards and obstacles to get through to get to the same place? How can a woman feel successful in academics when they are graded easier and have lower acceptance requirements for post secondary? In trying to help women succeed, society has actually taken away competition and any chance of a woman enjoying the true feeling of success.

I bathe in the tears of single moms.

    Farewell 50s & 60s …. I will miss you.

Those girls in the 70s were the start of the s~~~ we have today.

If ever there was a time for highschool shootings ….. it was back then …. before the infection became airborne.

Not that I’m aware of, but we can always relive the glorious post wars years through the photos and videos. Looks like some yummy asbestos tile there in the illustrations.

Snopes or not, if any of those were close to being true, no wonder men wanted to get married back then lol
