As far as my PERSONAL choices go I am as anti-gun as there can be. As far as I am concerned a gun is just a TOOL for killing stuff. Since I have no stuff that needs killing I have no use for a gun. Since I have no use for a gun I worry that if I kept one around I’d be the one, through some accident, to get killed. So I don’t own one.

As far as my POLITICAL choices ago I strongly support the right to bear arms. I really don’t give a f~~~ if my neighbour owns a lawnmower, a hammer, an SUV, a Knife, a rake or any other tool, so why would I care if he owns a gun or campaign against his right to own one?

I also believe that guns keep the government honest, even if I consider myself a lover, not a fighter, and don’t plan on owning one.

I just don’t get it. I can’t think of anything dumber to waste your time on. (I mean bitching about people who own guns.) And it means I have to read print on an issue that was decided, in the U.S.A, 250 years ago.

Anyways… just venting I hate the anti-gun lobby.

A gun is for protection against the government or common criminals if needed not just for the intention of going out killing stuff. If you had to storm out on Washington due to the fascist dictatorship you would use your gun or if someone broke into your house (having a gun on them) in the middle of the night you would use your gun.

You have no need to kill today but it could be tomorrow, or next month, a few years from now hell even a couple of decades from now when you may get the chance to actually need your gun.

It is more likely you would commit suicide with it then just be shot via some accident however with gun safety there are ways to prevent yourself from accidently shooting yourself, you can for example buy a gun lock or a gun safe where it is stored when not in use, you can keep it unloaded (including none in the chamber) when not in use etc.

I don’t own one either but that is because government bulls~~~ and my mission is likely to me arrested at some point or multiple points (so if i owned a gun it would likely be taken away from me by the state and not given back).

Taking into consideration how size, strength and speed is distributed in this planet, I can probably kill 30-40% of the planet bared handed.

Guns just make it easier.

My guns are like someone else’s golf clubs. I shoot Cowboy action, and BPCR long range. The majority of my guns were designed in the 1800’s. Most of what I shoot are steel targets, on a timer for score, or just for score.
I do in the fall love to go out and work my dogs, and sometimes we accidentally get a pheasant or two.
I have a carry permit, and yes, I do carry. In over 10 years haven’t even considered drawing it. If the time ever comes when I do, it will be the last resort, but with extreme prejudice.
I do also have combat rifles, but for those to come out in earnest, the s~~~ has to have really hit the fan. I will not tolerate someone trying to disarm me, or violate the constitution of my country.

I am very pro-gun and own more than one. I have respect for your right not to own a gun, knife or anything else. As a veteran who swore to defend the Constitution, I cannot make the 2nd Amendment the exception. Yet it goes deeper than that: We do not condemn any animal to fight with whatever weapon it has to defend its own. Just mess with a bear cub and you will see that natural right in action and who is to say we, as humans deserve less? The USA owes its very existence to the firearm and our founders believed in them with all they had.

I am so tired of law abiding gun owners being blamed for the actions of a few (mostly liberal) maniacs shooting up “Gun Free Zones”. Not one of them was an NRA or GOA member but who gets blamed every time?
I would rather my son stood over my grave thanking me for my sacrifice than to live to explain to him why I sold away his liberty.

Technology is changing and allowing for creation of high quality weapons outside of the law. Times are changing and printers are getting cheaper and more capable. Prohibition only matters if proliferation is difficult, it is still the case that making a gun is difficult. But a day will come where that simply is no longer the case, laws do not stop bullets.
