33 seats will be up for re-election. 23 are democrats, 2 are independents who caucus with democrats, and 8 are republican. Its a pretty safe bet republicans will carry the senate for Trumps entire first time and they’ll probably have more of a majority in 2 years than they do now. If they flip 8 seats they’ll hold 60, which makes senate democrats completely irrelevant as long as republicans can stay united…something the democrats missed by 1 seat in 2008. Let’s just hope they learn from the mistakes the democrats made in 2008 when they had a large majority and the far left democrats and the moderate democrats couldn’t even agree on how far left to move. It would be terrible if the right is gifted such a great chance to undo decades of liberal damage and they couldn’t capitalize on it because they are too busy fighting with each other.

Also given how much of the electoral map was painted red…the house seems to be pretty solidly republican for the near future as well.

I’m just crossing my fingers they focus on the economy, illegal immigration, bringing the cost of healthcare down, and balancing the budget and don’t get bogged down and waste time and political resources going after stupid s~~~ like gay marriage. I think that is what Trump intends to do, but let’s see if he can keep congress on board.

Let the LIBTARDS continue to alienate your average AMERICAN DEPLORABLE, and turn THEIR Democratic party into more and more of a FREAK show !!

The Republicans can only gain more seats across all levels of political representation !!
