    Today is Friday three weeks into a house build.
    Two days missed the second week because of rain.

    The decking is on the roof and house wrapped in plastic

    I know someday I will not be physically able to do construction work, but until then I find great satisfaction in all building trades.

    A four man crew is knocking it out fast.

    Will post some pictures later.

    I was bound to be misunderstood, and I laugh at those who misunderstand me.     I imagine it gives one a much greater sense of satisfaction seeing the roof on or the building completed than working in a fcuking office full of tuna and simps.

    I know how to build things, my hands are starting to go on me though.

    Every day I see men cutting trees, doing gardening, lifting stuff and I feel envious.

    I always liked the land, animals, farming (my family was into agriculture once) I miss that smell of wet earth.

    I miss building stuff, the feeling of a hammer and an axe.

    The smell of wood.

    17 years just 17 years and I will be free.

    To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

    Although I’m not much of a builder, this is absolutely one of the reasons why I prefer to own a home rather than rent. The freedom to make changes and do maintenance work as I see fit.

    At the moment, I actually have 10 yards of mulch sitting on my driveway. My kids and I are going to have a great time getting it all placed in the backyard landscaping. I don’t get to work with my hands much for a living so I absolutely love a bit of it on the weekends.

    Ok. Then do it.
