Facebook has been s~~~ for a very long time. Videos have been around since 2008 about how facebook sucks. Get off of there, don’t waste your time with it. Facebook sucks is like saying water is wet, an axiom, a given, something that can be said that requires no further proof or explanation. It’s just true.

You are right it is not a secure network. It was probably an invention of the NSA, or CIA. Perfect way to trick people into creating a full dossier on themselves and not even realize it. Thus the term “social media”, was invented by them, for this purpose. Law enforcement and other outfits probably also have unregulated access to whatever profiles they want as well.

Indeed anything you put into it, is probably visible to anyone with enough privileges.

They would like it to be a federal crime to provide anything other than a real ID. But as far as I know, no one is legally obligated to give them any valid credentials. I just p~~~ed on them when they demanded ID, then came back with a new account. I haven’t had that issue in a couple of years though.

Yeah. Some of those people who you never want to have anything to do with again. Especially the ones who bring back bad memories and who were a royal PITA. In the time before social media, when those people were out of your life, they were so gone that they may as well have been dead. Now with social media, all these people have reemerged like an unwanted zombie menace.
Since I’m not officially on social media anymore, I don’t have to worry about seeing them though.

Can’t say that I haven’t used it for that myself. You put it out there, it’s not someone elses fault for finding it. The treasure trove of pics saw me safely through my teenage years and beyond and made great fap material.

The government doesn’t need to monitor it from the outside, they probably own it and if they don’t they can certainly get access to it’s contents whenever they feel like it.

Not just employers, but you’ve got border agents asking to screen peoples social media profiles. Since I don’t have one there’s nothing they can do about it.
