I saw that coming years ago, I figure he will either become black, not British(grr),

Theyre already floating that idea and picked an actor out who they thought would be ideal. Forgot his name. The thing is- THAT is not who the author made Bond. Its pathetic that rather than making some new story/character the liberal crowd has to co-opt a classic role. Just make a new one of your own. Dont re-write a decades old one.

Went to the cinema yestarday with my oldest son, had some popcorn and watched this movie.

We liked it, it is however a bit toooo long, 2,5 hour…
I liked that its not just an action movie. They are taking Bond back to spy’s, really bad guys, cats and cool gadgets.

It is worth checking out, not the best Bond but far from the worst.

Thanks for the write up. I was worried about the length. Still might catch it in the theatres.

I like to go see the Bond films and I will definitely see this one. Casina Royale was a bit of a snore for me, but Skyfall was excellent. I will be seeing this one. Craig is a good Bond for sure

I dont remember the specifics of Skyfall for some reason. I liked the poker scenes in Casino Royale and the first chick (black haired one) he beds in the film.

Funny you should mention Avatar. I rarely go to the theatres because films have become such crap. I remember everyone ranting and raving about the film. I saw it with a friend. We literally walked out. The plot – greedy white capitalist destroys innocent natives for money, was the epitome of limousine liberals PC agenda. Disgusted me.

Speaking of throw-away movies of the past few years. The only two films I thought were of great calibar in recent years were The Wolf of Wall St (the book is fantastic) and American Hustle. Both have fantastic replay value imo.

They probably realize that if they made their own based on their garbage ideas, it would never fly because it would suck and would never attain the status of the original concept. So they go and take over something else that already has status instead.

I LOVE Craig as Bond, but it’s hard to get past the “misogynist” comments he made. SO typical. I also heard, and this is no joke, that they have considered a female James Bond. If anything, add that to my list I’ve been making on here.

I agree. That comment about Bond went too far.

The problem is that most women Bond met were useless, save for the women being there to look pretty and maybe have a good screw in bed.

I could count the number of women Bond franchise characters that were skillful and resourceful in one hand. And most of those women did not sleep with Bond.

Honestly, given how many women Bond slept with. I sometimes wonder if Bond’s real job was not as an assassin, but to extend the British Empire, one sire at a time.

On the female Bond idea. That is wrong for so many reasons.

Saw the movie and it was meh. Some good parts and some parts that made me roll my eyes. Cristoph Waltz was awesome. The Bond girl is not sexy in my opinion. not even attractive but maybe others will like her. Probably the last one i’ll see in theaters. $3 for a movie in Thailand on cheap night so…. can’t complain too much.

Wonder if the Bond girl will eventually become some nasty fat to chick to appease the fat acceptance nutters.

So I went to see this last weekend and Im glad I did. With all of the lack of talent in Screen writing in recent years there arent too many films I enjoy, let alone are worthy of going to the theatre for.

This was an exception. Its not on my short-list of films Ill purchase and replay over vino and good-eats, but seeing it on the big screen is worth the watch. For all of the talks of Bond becoming PC there was note worthy line. It came when someone tried to feed him some glutten free, anti oxidant, sea weed colored drink. He replied

do me a favor and lets skip a step and flush that down the toilet

At least theres some semblance of Bond being Ian Flemmings creation in the film.

It was a bit long. They could have shaved off 30 minutes and done us all a favor. I went out for a smoke at one point. Still worth the watch.

Also went to see it this past weekend. I did not consider it as good as Skyfall, but there were some clear throwbacks to the Bond of decades past and it was pretty good. There was the odd gadget but they weren’t that bad. Nothing like Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day.

I did like that part where he asked for a martini at the bar and got some disgusting enzyme shake instead. To which he responded with an amusing line before getting into a big brawl.
