Making a sign that asks people to please not smack their gum or idly whistle in the store because it triggers so much anxiety and near panic. Still twitching and cringing, my pulse is racing, and I can’t breathe evenly. F~~~ misophonia. I wish I could just block the noises out, but if I’m trying to do something with my hands that takes dexterity, I can’t be twitching and stuff because of someone’s noises. Which, incidentally, gum smacking is just rude anyways but that’s beside the point.
Help me out here. I know I’ve asked before, but would it be rude for me to ask someone to stop that? And do you think the sign would help? I think it’s akin to wearing a badge that says “Please speak up, I am hard of hearing.” I should be able to work without the danger of a panic attack of any sort, shouldn’t I? Or should I just keep the whole “customer is right” thing? D: Halp! I really cannot help the irritation and legit anxiety those noises cause me. I want to, but no matter what I do, I get more and more stressed out and agitated.

Yeah, I get annoyed when people chew loudly or whistle too, but I’ve never been unable to function because of it.

Let me have her for one year in my brutal PTSD torture courses! I’ll harden that bitch like a diamond!

That inhaling and exhaling noise ahhhh … it just makes me …. you know ..

And don’t get me started on their blinking …. I just want them to stop.

Is it rude if I stop them breathing?

I don’t think it is ?

It sounds like she has a real mental illness/dysfunction. It’s not a problem in her thought process, it’s a malfunction in the part of her brain that reacts to sounds. I wouldn’t lump her in with the tumbr crazies who willingly choose to be insane.

What tips me over the fence on not condemning her is that she says she hates reacting to the sounds. A truly horrible person would say that she hates the people who make the sounds. But she doesn’t say she hates them, she hates the experience itself.

Its rude to ask them to blow me. I have seen other men with signs saying “show me your t~~~”. Do you think I should make a sign?

Now that it’s built, the f~~~~~s that have been in charge the past 50 years have just let women destroy everything.

Oh and that’s a great word. F~~~~~. PC brigade managed to stamp that out, we used that as a kid a lot. It’s nice to be able to post that openly again.

She said this “shocked” her and she didn’t know how to handle it.

ARE YOU F~~~ING KIDDING ME!!!????

Get back to the kitchen. No really. Get back to the kitchen. You’re a news camera operator and you fall apart over a COMMENT? It’s SNOOP DOGG. What the f~~~ else did you expect? What the f~~~ are you going to do in the middle of a war zone ….. or when a car bomb goes off? Then she generated this whole new story and pointed a camera at herself over this s~~~.

Then there are feminists who are petitioning to abolish “applause” altogether – and instead show their appreciation with “Jazz hands” – because they find the noise of banging your hands together to cause anxiety and panic. Whassamatter honey? You never attended a symphony, opera or cultural event? You gonna start weeping at the Hollywood Bowl when 15000 people around you clap for Andrea Bocelli???? The guy is BLIND.

“Clapping triggers anxiety”
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/mar/24/feminist-conference-says-clapping-triggers-anxiety/

Are we really to believe that feminists would show “jazz hands” when buying a ticket to see “the vagina monologues”??

I used to think “get back to the kitchen” was kind of an inappropriate “sexist” statement. But it’s totally appropriate. It would save women from themselves.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

I hope someone starts a petition to prevent women from speaking and make them use sign language instead, because when they all start speaking it’s like Christmas at a turkey farm with the noise.
