One of the researchers working on this robot routinely makes statements that are clearly misandry.

2. Other researchers perpetuate misandry through the falsehood that all men are rapists by modding the robot with an anti-rape app.

Great to see all the effort and money men put into encouraging girls to take up STEM is paying off. What a joke.

It smacks of being illegal, open to all sorts of abuse, and psychologically unethical. I guess it’s just another reminder that what we do in the bedrooms with our computers is not private.

@invisibleman Your sentiment regarding women and STEM are pretty much spot on. I remember back in 2005 when Larry Summers, then president of Harvard, caught hell for the comment he made that women do not have the same abilities as men to do scientific research when asked why not as many women were granted tenure:

http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2005/1/14/summers-comments-on-women-and-science/

I’ve done basic research for about 20 years and I would have to agree that men (on average) have better quantitative skills and reasoning abilities than women. We also know from scientific studies that the brains of adult males are left hemisphere dominant as opposed to women, so there is an actual basis for this claim. Yet society as a whole wants to ignore the evidence and make institutions hire and promote more women just in the name of equality…..smh

If people want to live by the politics of division that is their choice, I don’t want to live that way. I honestly don’t know how someone can be so absorbed in thinking about their own gender all the time, it makes me start to wonder if they have a type of illness.
Anyway reading that study and I realize the online world really is a fools paradise, although this place seems a bastion of intellectual calm in an ocean of the vacuous and vain, but living by the politics of division is not for me. I would make a stand against misandry, but unfortunately the way men perpetuate misandry more than any women, and are blind to it, is reason enough for me to move on.

Haven’t you seen the #WalterPalmer hashtag trending on Twitter? It is taking the 3 elements that get the left all riled up, the third world, animals, and a successful white man. Look at all the hate the world is showing towards this white man! It’s disgusting. He obviously payed money to go on a hunting safari, no matter your personal views, animals are animals, they are not people, look at how people are treating Walter Palmer as if he is a dehumanized other. It’s gross. It is bloody scary, and it’s why I won’t be continuing to voice my opinions any more, because it puts myself in serious danger.

That means she must be at least bright enough to think of using a Bluetooth earpiece to get the hands free part of what she wants. Well, “must” is too strong a word, seeing as it is all to obvious she had not.

The pockets are too small problem is tougher. I’m assuming she thinks a purse or backpack is out of the question, but considering how quick she is with the hands free solution, it is entirely possible it never occurred to her. I solved mine with a holder that snaps on my belt, or I wear cargo pants. I’m just a slave to fashion.

If my computer told me to stop touching it, I would probably delete the program. It’s hard to identify with that problem. I’m not attracted all that much to computer images in the first place. I don’t speak a word of Japanese. I just plain don’t get it.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

Which iPhone does she have?  The iPhone 4 was pretty small and people said they wanted bigger phones.  Phones got bigger because people wanted that.  My Samsung doesn’t fit in my pocket all that well.  The iPhone 6+ can’t fit in anyones pocket probably.  It would have been nice to see the second statement say “How do we design a phone that people didn’t have to hold in their hand all the time”.  Aside from current solutions (I have a phone system that automatically connects to my cell via bluetooth, my car does too) there are future solutions with foldable and rollable cell phones in the works.

Wait, didn’t women steal our pants?

I feel as though this should be filed under “can’t please them all” and moved on from there.
