One thing we guys should be doing is pay attention to our health. I’m 54 and just got scoped from one end to the other. This is the type of preventative care men need to do to take care of themselves.

Obama just defunded prostate cancer research. Breast cancer funding is untouched. Just as many men die every year from prostate cancer as women die from breast cancer.

http://advancedprostatecancer.net/?p=5055

Get a general doctor. Get a yearly PSA to check for prostate cancer. Get your blood pressure checked. Get a blood test occasionally. Don’t smoke. And many many other preventative things that can help cut that 7 years less men live than women. The gap is already closing but they think that’s due to american women becoming more skanky and their asses are resembling large jars of lard.

It has no cure and I’ve heard its fatal. Guess this is my one way ticket eh? But I don’t really care, seen all that life had to offer and I’ve had enough already.
The worst part of it is these immense joint and back pains I get from time to time.

Nah in all seriousness, in the UK it’s incredibly hard to be fit and healthy. Fatty food is cheap and anything healthy is expensive as f~~~. To exercise, a gym membership is around £50($80ish) a month. If you don’t want to do that then you can run outside but be prepared to be ridiculed, attacked and harassed.

If there is some sort of guide for single men outside of the US to stay fit and healthy I would love to read it. Unfortunately online it appears that the world doesn’t exist outside of the US. You lot have it so goddamn easy over there. </rant>

It so happens I once knew a guy who has grandchildren from kids who were born before he was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis (about 20 years ago). If he can live that long, so can you.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

Aww man..way to dash a man’s hopes into oblivion! And there I was thinking that I wouldn’t have to carry on this charade called existence for too long..
You just treated me like an indisposable disposable male..you feminist you.. 😀

But on more serious note the worst part of Sarcoidosis isn’t its fatality but its symptoms. Imagine if you wake up one fine morning to feel like someone has stabbed you multiple times at your joints and areas close to your spine and the pain goes on for days at times. Painkillers do the trick but it still limits free movement making you feel like a cripple. I really feel like shooting myself at those times. It destroyed my whole career and a career in professional soccer making me think..Sarcoidosis just might be female.

Its a real shame my ego wouldn’t let me go out like one of those Hollywood folks by taking a lot of painkillers at a time..

But it has one positive side too. It helped me get out of some really messy situations involving females. Like the one in my high school reunion party where an old school buddy’s sister was so infatuated that she kept on insisting and even begging that we start seeing each other. I told her that I had Sarcoidosis and it was an STD(even though it wasn’t). And poof! she vanished into thin air like the character Serena from that 60’s sitcom Bewitched.

I’ve literally gone an entire year without getting sick.

I take my blood pressure, gout, cholesterol, and triglyceride medications on schedule. I only take my OxyContin pills when I have to. I inject myself with anabolic steroids twice each month. I made a promise to myself never to get shot or stabbed again, and I don’t get into relationships with leeches. I almost have my Wrangler and my last wife paid off and I’ll dedicate some of it to eating better…instead of having tiramisu just for breakfast I’ll have it with lunch and dinner too. I suspect I might be suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (gunshot wound 1981; hit with a lamp 2012; broken face 2012) and I’m going to get an MRI to see what’s going on. Instead of eating 2-3 ounces of butter each day I’ll only eat 2-3 ounces of unsalted butter…got to cut that sodium! Going to start drinking more red wine if I can figure out how to mix it with tequila. When I injured my back (two herniated discs 2012) I went from 208 pounds to 273 pounds so I have to figure out how to make low cal tiramisu, rillettes, and pâte.

Fresh stuff ALL the time. Avoiding packaged foods. LOTS of water. And buying the best fruits and veggies. NEVER drink soda. RARELY fast food. I don’t exercise enough but that’s only since MGTOW.COM – and compared to the previous physical pounding I subjected myself to. Prior to that, I was HIGHLY athletic most of my life…. which is actually something I needed to get over – this constant self-inflicted pressure to be in top shape.

I admit, I do often want to sue Reese® for their peanut butter cups.

I had to make an effort to DE-program myself from feeling “guilty” for ordering a wrap from MacDonald’s or enjoying some fried chicken and fries once in a while. A 1/2 glass of red wine before bed is the norm, and only consume about 5 OZ of hard liquor per year. No beer (just never acquired a taste for it). I microwave almost nothing and am a fantastic cook (years of restaurant part-timing in some very fine establishments in my 20s).

And PS. One more thing: Be kind to your knees. You’ll miss them when their gone.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

I haven’t been sick in years, not sure why unless it’s genetics. Not living ‘clean’, couldn’t care less since I don’t believe in an afterlife, and if I live to be very old that would be my diaper and colostomy bag years which I don’t care to see. At some point, in all honesty, I believe when the time comes I’ll use a 9mm to exit with dignity, no dementia, no years dwindling away in the old folk’s home, no Alzheimers, and it will not diminish my life whatsoever because I will have lived it in the manner I chose. After all, I never got to choose how or when I came into this world but I can damn well choose (if circumstances allow) how and when I will exit this world. I literally have no fear of my death, as I never feared not being born for the billions of years I wasn’t alive.

p.s. Triklops – I’m truly sorry, man, I’ve grown accustomed to chronic back pain for over 35 years due to a missing piece of ‘cushioning’ between 2 vertebra and learned to live with it. Yours is obviously worse – here’s hoping you beat the f~~~er but BAD. 🙂
