My friends, a woman is about to cheat on her husband just because he is ill and can’t have sex. I wish there was a way we could tell him what his wife is planning to do, so that he can start securing his assets and not be blinded by her eventually leaving him. I mean just think about it…she’s 36, the wall is closing in, and while she says she won’t leave him, we all know that if she sees something amazing she will. And he will be caught off guard and lose everything.

My former wife (brain tumor/passed away) spent the last 3 years of our marriage going through chemotherapy. She lost the ability to even go to the bathroom by herself. I was fortunate to have a generous enough income from real estate to put my practice on hold so that I could care for her, but in the end, I was ready for her to go. I know it sounds horrible to say, but watching her go from the beautiful woman I married to what she became in the end was just too much to bare. She was only 26 when she passed. I loved my wife, but there was no way I could possibly go on the way we were for much longer. I completely relate to the way you feel. I would love to take you up on a movie or a trip to the MFA if you’re interested. There’s a really great Hokusai installation that’s not going to be on display for much longer. I’ve been to it 4 times, but I’d love an excuse to go for a 5th while it’s still around. </span>

I am so sorry to hear that! I understand completely. My Mother has secondary liver cancer and is near the end. My husband although a nice guy has so many medical issues it would take hours to type. I don’t mind taking care of them but it is a hard road…
How long ago did she pass? Do you have any kids?

Don’t answer the questions and leave her something short like you wanna set something up and meet AQAP. You don’t do more than 1 or three emails. Meet in person AQAP or she’s one of those like just wants nibbles and to fantasize. Best way to find out just how serious she is. If she’s not enthusiastic about grabbing her purse right now, then it’s kind of a non issue. IMO

Don’t get suckered into one of those “i need to get to know you over email for the next two weeks, first” scenarios. Women love that manner of horses~~~. Like if you met her at the market… would she say “whoah you can’t speak to me unless we email for 2 weeks first”. Those broads area waste of time.

Interesting…so based on her initial response to you, it seems like she’s very cautious. I feel like the how-long-ago-did-your-wife-pass-question is just a front/useless question. She is not interested in that. What she really is trying to determine is your own family picture and ability to host with the kids question. But the wife-pass thing…I mean if someone tells me that their wife passed away from Brain Tumor, I’d say something like “I’m sorry…it was tough…how did you cope with it?” or “is there something I can do for you?”. She’s not asking about the experience. She’s asking about the foundation for the future with the kids question. I think we got something on the hook here.

I’m with KeyMaster; if you put pressure and give her a now or never type situation, then she’ll be caught off guard. She’ll have to decide: do I want to be with this successful, kind mysterious gentleman or do I want to stay taking care of my ill husband.

As for how to phrase it, I’d say something along the lines of you’re going on a trip to an exotic place in a few days (you decide where and when) and that you’ll be out of touch for a while so you want to see if the two of you have a future. I’d leave it at that.

She then has two options: 1) reject you and possibly never hear from you (a gold mine) again. If she does this, then she was just looking for someone to talk to or got spooked out and isn’t serious about leaving her husband. This is the desired outcome…at least until her husband recovers.  OR 2) accept and accelerate the getting to know you period and reveal her intentions (which are to leave her husband).
