This is a whole different topic, but I have a much higher liking for TV shows and movies made before the mid-1960s than today’s. I suspect all that oppressive censorship they were forced to labor under forced them to be more creative.

I also think it’s because you could write with more variety. Nowadays, if you write a woman being anything but a “strong, independent woman”, you get drilled by the Shehadists. Lot of minorities are the same way.

I haven’t thought of the Avengers since Disco DIED! That was the tail end of any quality written television, now a’days I can’t tell the difference between TV and an overflowing public toilet, neither of which I’ll risk exposure to, YUCK!

I miss decent society, I really do….
