MGTOWOld Fart – MGTOW https://www.mgtow.com/forums/topic/old-fart/feed/ Tue, 09 Jun 2020 07:44:40 +0000 http://bbpress.org/?v=2.5.14-6684 en-US https://www.mgtow.com/forums/topic/old-fart/page/376/#post-42096 <![CDATA[Old Fart]]> https://www.mgtow.com/forums/topic/old-fart/page/376/#post-42096 Mon, 20 Apr 2015 15:53:08 +0000 chir Back in 93 I had my “red pill moment”.  Of course this was before there were such a thing as red pills, so I just call it “my moment”.   After a breakup where I got a letter from my gal while she was off in Europe where she said “Hi, I’m married!”  It turns out she went over there with the express purpose of finding a submissive beta and getting hitched so she could have dual citizenship and emigrate from the USA.  For her it was mission accomplished.  She became an Aussie and left the USA to never return.  All the time and effort with her was pretty much just laying TP on the result and flushing it.   I wasn’t even that mad.  I just had the relief wash over me that I dodged a bullet.  At that point (30 years old)  I re-assessed my life and future.  I came to the conclusion after listening to my married chums that kids can be great but odds are high that you will wind up divorced and lose custody of your children.

Did I swear off women?  Hell no, they can be fun as long as you keep in mind that they are social manipulators who will use any and all social tricks to get what they want.  Have had a few women friends with benefits.  Of course the moment they realize I categorically put all women in the friend zone they cut off the benefits and stop being friends.   Don’t hate women, just have come to my own conclusions that the risk completely outweighs the benefits.   I also realize that there are a lot of damaged women out there. Women can be just as wounded as men by relationships.  I just don’t feel that I should have to pick up the pieces after they get hurt or hurt themselves.  Women thrive on social drama.  Men as a rule, don’t.

Over the years, without a wife or children I have managed to save a rather large egg for my future.  I also have had the time to travel around the north American continent and pursue both my education and hobbies.   Now as I am in my 50’s I have the means to do whatever I want.  Over the past few years I have been learning sailing and navigating.  I am considering selling my house and buying a sailboat to live on.  I am still deciding.

My advice for younger guys?  You men are in a rather hard pickle.  Western women have never has as much power as they do now.  You have no rights over your earnings or your children.  The courts have seen to that.  You are seen as a resource which women are entitled to.  Western women’s sense of entitlement is out of control.  If they can’t nail what they feel they deserve, (Brad Pitt and his money), they may settle for you, but only until something better comes along.  If you fall in love remember that women are social manipulators.  They cant help it.  Its in their instincts.  Remember this and get a Pre-Nup if you decide to marry.   If she pulls the “if you loved me you wouldn’t need one”, don’t cave.  If she is won’t sign one then that’s an alarm bell.

Try the MGTOW life for a year.  Its the only way to know if you can live it.

I myself and an older MGTOW (41) and am impressed at the size of my nest egg and assets. I have recently seen a couple of friends lose more than half of their assets going into a marriage including one that lasted a year and a half. It is of my opinion she just used him to pay off her student loans.

It’s nice to see that there are still older men finding MGTOW. Younger men, don’t be afraid to learn from our experience and or mistakes.

]]> https://www.mgtow.com/forums/topic/old-fart/#post-42211 <![CDATA[Reply To: Old Fart]]> https://www.mgtow.com/forums/topic/old-fart/#post-42211 Mon, 20 Apr 2015 22:02:29 +0000 chir Its relative.  You have 3 sons you can bring up right and make sure they are aware of the dignity that a man can carry.   I would not have minded a son or daughter but the divorces I watched my chums go through were brutal.  The EX’es had no compunction about telling lies to their children to try and make them hate their father.  This was for no other reason than to hurt them as much as possible.  Eventually the children realized that their father was not a monster and reconciled but it made both men age 10 years beyond their true age.   Children as weapons.  As good as any nuke on the heart of a father who loves their kids.

I decided that the way things are going in the USA that the odds were stacked to high against me.  Were things different, I would have liked to have had a kid or two.
