Remember when video games were working(*cough*Batman: Arkham Knight*cough*), cost less, and didn’t have DLC and microtransactions? Remember when special effects were more practical? What was your favorite moment(s) of that time?

Mine, personally, was playing the first three SSX games on my PlayStation and PlayStation 2. Some of the best racing games and co-op games I had.

SSX.. snowboarding. I remember that most epic piece. Get enough hang-time and a large enough combo.. all would go quiet for a second, the music would lower, and a you could hear was the air rushing by you as you held that position mid air stunt as long as you could bleeding it of every last point before landing it. Ahhh. .. the memeories.

For me it was Sled-Storm with the Rob Zombie soundtrack!

Enjoying the smell of fresh cut grass.  Hunting, fishing, skiing, playing football.

The call of a bird at dusk.

Playing kickball.

What is the problem of Batman: Arkham Knight? Too many bugs?

The PC port crisis. Not that I play the game on PC. I’m planning to play it on PS4.

The game is displayed through a glass table top. It was designed to be a money machine for beer bars back in the late ’70s. The players could rest their glasses on the table while they fed quarters into the machine. Great fun while you’re snockered.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

It showcased the latest special effects in recent movies back when CG was too expensive for the most part, so everything tended to be practical effects with as little CG used as possible. I used to be enthralled by that show for hours on end and could watch marathons of it.

I miss when Google didn’t run the world with it’s creepy tracking and Facebook hadn’t ruined social interatction yet. It makes me sick when I see yet another young guy crying that he has no idea how to do social interaction because he grew up on facebook and myspace and now he just sits in public fiddling with his phone instead of actually doing ANYTHING. Also f~~~ information bubbles: I like hearing facts, not what you want me to hear! Altavista was king.

I also miss when Tucows (remember them?) sorted out software both by rating and cost so you could find and try freeware without having to search though pages and pages of outdated junk. Apparently companies forced them to stop doing that as people just didn’t want to buy nagware when there were decent free options around. I wish there were another site like that somewhere. It would be wonderful! Sourceforge is OK, but there’s so much unfinished stuff that it’s a pain to work with.

Beauty fades, dumb is forever.
