Mostly, just been around a lot of girls who are too into themselves. It was really humbling to see women that called themselves my friends, but found the idea of dating me (not even seriously, just casually) so repulsive, they would rather have a sexual relationship with guys who, in their own admissions, were manipulative, shallow liars and scumbags. Not trying to paint myself as the ever-virtuous good guy, just saying that it opened my eyes a bit.

That, and watching many of my friends and family get married to women who just wanted to fund the lifestyle. There’s reading about these things in books and articles, and then there’s seeing the beast up close and in person. I may not have appreciated it at the time, but I’m really grateful I’ve been able to get to this point in my life without having any real damage to show for it. I’m not married, never had a horrendous break-up or relationship, just been fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of a lot of men like the ones here.

Just be cautious, as you do stuff just for yourself, some ladies that didn’t notice you before, will start poking you, because when you stop looking at them, they start wondering, and will likely approach, do have some fun, just be careful. 🙂

Yeah, I’ve noticed this lately as I’ve become a little more aloof to the opposite gender and begun focusing on improving my physical health first. Amazing how that works, isn’t it?
