I strongly believe that the primary reason males want females to play video games is so that they can themselves play those games without having the females in ther lives nag them about it. Same for taking them to car shows or hockey games or steak houses or firing ranges.

The idea, I suppose, is that if you can get the female doing the same things you do, then she can’t blame you for the time, money and energy you expend on that activity because she’s enjoying it too… only she really isn’t. I believe that most women actually hate FPS games, sports, meat and guns but only play along so they can get attention from and hang onto the kinds of males who did those things unapologetically before they were in relationships.

If you want to play video games or go fishing or look at strippers or blow s~~~ up in the desert, just do it and leave her out of it. Why ruin the things you love by dragging some female along who is going to suck at it and resent you for it in the end anyway?

Here’s a simple guide… if you’re into FPS games you’ll have bought a console and the game and a controller, etc and if your would-be activity partner is into the same thing, they’ll have bought their own console and game and controller. So really you should only ever engage in an activity with someone who has their own gear or who is actively considering buying their own gear. I can only imagine what it would feel like for me to go out and buy a two person tent and kayak and pay for, pack and haul twice the amount of food and gear to take someone camping, hiking and paddling in Zion who would rather be at an outlet mall. I’d rather be alone.
