Post up any characters you know, that could be considered as a prime example of a mgtow in a fiction.

I was looking at Paarthurnax from Skyrim and it ‘clicked’ me that he is a definitive mgtow monk you could say.

– Alone, Wise, Meditating, Ancient Dragon. There seems to be no female dragons in the game anyway. (oh so sexist Bethesda, shame shaaaame !/sarcasm).

This Dragon went his Own Way by choosing mortal/human side to help and meditated for hundreds of years to change himself and keep his destructive instincts in check.

The Punisher, mainly because his family is dead, though. He’s strong, resourceful, intelligent, and avoids women as a distraction. Solitary but not some mangina pinning for women.

Hercules in the traditional myth because he’s doing his own damn thing despite the almighty bitch’s manipulation. Although that kind of seems to come and go at certain points.

This 2 Im not sure about:
Max Payne, went self destructive way but only after having his family killed by mafia. Then also losing Mona Sax, so he went back in to depression.

Damn, Im not sure.
Also, Batman/Bruce Wayne, as he dedicated his life to his own goals of battling crime. (I don’t know comics very much, if he can be considered mgtow style 100%).

Batman married in certain incarnations and has had a son that he left with the mother who then taught said child to hate his father. While he tries (sort of) to avoid love he still is often consumed by it.

In books published by living authors, most of the MGTOWs are the main characters of thriller novels. “Jack Reacher” comes instantly to mind if only because he is the avatar of one of the other men-bers of these forums.

Throw a dart at a list of action movies made before 1965, and it’ll be hard to miss one with a MGTOW hero. For example, the entire male cast of Bridge on the River Kwai or The Guns of Navarone.

Not these days. Even the new Mad Max remake is said to be feminized. Mad Max himself taking orders from Charlize Theron? Gimme a break!

Comics / graphic novels? The new Thor is a girl. Nuff said.
