So normally that means sitting at home waiting for the phone to ring … or not.

The past three days I’ve been doing this …. and nadda.

So as they say the devil makes work for idle hands ☺

I get paid for sitting on my ass …. waiting. It’s aprox 45% of my normal daily wage.

I have my own place that’s paid for. No debt, fairly good savings and a pension that my ex can’t have.

Calculating my standby wage …. I could still live an ok life …. just sitting around waiting for the phone to ring…… and that’s only Monday to Friday.

I’ve only been called out 5 times in 2 years.

It’s like being on welfare but …. at work 😆

The only problem I forsee is I must remain ‘current’ with licenses …. but that’s about the only draw back.

Do I need to get out more? 😃

My house payment in the country is 1/6 th of the amount it cost to live in LA.

I’m actually doing better financially than when I worked. I stay home, don’t commute, don’t deal with hags (which was the catalyst that brought me to retire at that time) and don’t have to be under some under trained part of the fem-collective.

At my work they named 3 layers of administration over me that were female. They didn’t care about patients. Just power.

F~~~ that.

Keeping up with licenses/certifications can be pricey though. One thing to take from this for sure is to let the young MGTOWs know that the longer you stay one, the more financially stable you will be as a result. Terrence Pop also narrows this down splendidly:

Since coming back to the UK 3 weeks ago I haven’t “worked” as such but have been inside most days doing DIY at home. My wife and son are at her mothers and its absolutely bliss! Some days I turn my phone off and don’t even hear my own voice never mind somebody else’s.

Alas I will be back at work next week and will miss this greatly. You don’t spend as much at home eating cheaply, no diesel for the car etc. Costs me f~~~ all and I’m not paying a trades man to do the work on the house. It’s a win.

A hermits life for me if I could swing it.

Enjoy!

Maybe an exercise bike would help.

Living alone, I’ve got no worries plus been able to save a nice chunk and kick back.

My future plans more or less align to “work at home”, in the sense of freelancing in illustration/concept art or graphics design, still working a full time day job, paying for everything, done with almost all debts, hope to be at a level of income for the art stuff before 3-4 years, it’s very tough sometimes, when your day job can feel like a life/ambition sucking machine.

Since I spend almost all my free time, vacation, and days off, inside doing my thing, or reading, I believe you don’t need to get out that much.  😛

Although I do dread the fear of becoming of a complete Hermit, some physical, face to face, interaction is important, but as long you find great passion in what you are doing, or satisfaction, it’s all good.

Do I need to get out more?

Hello Iliveagain, your posts are always awesome. Sounds like you have a good gig going on.

I don’t know all about your extracurricular activities, but I would be careful about staying in your comfort zone, we never know how many tomorrows we have….  A key part of self-actualization is challenging yourself,

Just some thoughts brother,

Because in order to be able to think, you have to risk being offensive.
