I’m very interested in doing some contract work overseas but not sure the best way to go about it/how to get started and find good situations.  May consider difficult/dicey situations for great $$.  Any advice/input would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure if they want to reach out internationally for contractors or not, but the Swedish government and public institutions have finally (after decades of complaints from people) started getting off their asses to start centralising and organising both within and between institutions and departments – something which happens almost exclusively in electronic form. In other words, many of them currently scream for people capable of properly coding databases and user-friendly associated software (and by “user-friendly” I mean “most of these people barely manage to turn the computers on“. The saddest part? I don’t kid or exaggerate; most of the people in question have lived for 55+ years and didn’t even start using computers until very recently, and will literally struggle and ask for help if they press the power button and the screen doesn’t flicker to life…and they’ve simply forgotten to turn on the screen. Yes, that level of incompetence). May or may not have some worth checking out.

Thanks!  Sweden sounds like a great place to spend a few years.  Sounds like the user base could be a little frustrating though.

Do you know a website where I could start looking?  Or the best search terms?  I’ve done some googling but it’s like those kinds of job postings are hidden somewhere.

Thanks!  Software development, especially for mobile platforms, is the place to be career-wise.  It’s like getting into power generation in the early 1900s.  Huge growth continuing for years.  Internet security is another growth area.

It’s not hard to acquire the training and with a few year’s experience you can earn good $.  Its the perfect MGTOW job!

But really, you could just try to contact Försäkringskassan directly; even if they don’t always advertise jobs openly, in Sundsvall alone they’ve told the local university (Mittuniversitetet, where I currently study web development online at 50%, by the way) they want about 80 new computer-savvy individuals (primarily system developers and web developers) over the next one or two years (though I suspect they’ve already filled some of the positions).
