So many older men have been ravished in family court, had their children ripped from them, who cannot respect them. They’re hurting deeply and they know society blames them somehow for being less-men. Since they couldn’t keep a marriage, somehow she saw some weakness in him and just had to get a divorce. He doesn’t understand why all this is so. He’s hurting inside.

Instead, affirm him, point out that a lot of people go through that and they get hurt too, that it’s unfair, and women are unfair. They really need this.
