While I have a throery about this topic, I can be wrong, and I’m open to constructive criticism and correction. Drinks are directly relevant to age and gender, Women as they get older drink “manlier” drinks (if single) as to attract males, because this would allow association with a possible mating partner. Allow me to explain. The younger a woman is, generally right after 16-18 range of age, will often drink the girliest concoction of estrogen and alcohol. Something with a s~~~ty umbrella I suppose. After said range, there will be two outcomes, single or having “a slave”. If in a relations~~~, the woman will continue drinking such girly drinks. Now if the female remains single long enough, she will begin drinking what she supposes a possible mating partner would drink, for example Scotch. This is done so that she displays her “taste” to the possible partner, trap them, and then returned to the previously mentioned drinking choice. I have seen several middle aged “cougars” drinking scotch alone in the bar, and by the end of the night they DON’T go home alone. We, men, drink what we find pleasing, Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Beer, Scotch whatever, but I find a different theory when it comes to men: When we start “drinking” it’s mostly to party, and there is no discrepancy on what we drink, the older we get however, the more “refined” the drink. After the partying stage, drinking becomes more of a pleasure, rather than means to an end, and much more enjoyable with the right alcohol choice. Any thoughts on this theory?

Just my 2 cents

It is a common failing of childhood to think that if one makes a hero out of a demon the demon will be satisfied.
