A lot of the walking wounded fall into the margins quite easily. The VA is a joke for the most part, getting them to do so much as pick up the phone is at times a monumental task. I have learned to overcome my failings and insecurities in due time. The things I learned were my journey, and I wouldn’t change any of it. Acceptance is a powerful thing, it is a key element in all that we do.

I was surprised during the discussion just how acutely aware of the dangers of PTSD and what can befall them when they finally do discharge from the Army. Anyway I also got to drop a red pill or two which was great.
