The soon to be ex just got a raise which would equal me paying 100 dollars less per month based on the website I used to file with. Does anyone know if i can just swap out the parenting plan portion of the papers and keep my case number and not have to re pay the filing fee?

Also, she is about to put my little girl in daycare and expects me to pay half that plus child support. There is a section in the parenting plan formula to apply child care costs but the way I see it, she is 4 and will be in kindergarten soon. So in my mind if we put those costs in the formula I would have to pay more and then have to take it back to court in less than a year to get it re adjusted right?

If i sound like i don’t want to support my little girl that’s not the case..i have her half the time and the ex is riding some boys dick..disclaimer

comments/ advice please

I can say that if your state is like mine they normally have 2 hearings about the divorce. I know that between my first hearing and the second hearing my paperwork did change but I believe there was an additional filing fee (Hard to tell for sure as I had to hire an attorney). Once the divorce is finalized it will be more expensive since it will be considered a new case, if it is between the first and second hearing then it is just a modification of the paperwork.

If you have any way to wait until she gets into kindergarten I would wait to finalize until then so the numbers are a little better.

I also agree that you should consult an attorney, even if you do not retain them the hour or so of questions you can have answered may allow you to get this finished without needing their services further.
