On commercial TV here in Australia, there’s a few channels to watch, they’re all equally rubbish, but during a prime time slot the broadcasters do what I like to call “flogging the ads”. In other words, for every 10 minutes of viewing, you’re gonna get about 5 minutes of ads. These figures vary slightly for time slots and per channel, but it’s usually pretty extreme. I can’t remember the last time I switched channels and the actual show that was meant to be on, was actually showing, you normally have to wait a few minutes for the current batch of ads to end.
OK, so now for the good (or disgusting) bit.
Watch any channel you like, and keep a tally of ad’s that are NOT just promoting the channel itself (ads for future programming).
Take your favorite red pill, and analyse the gender dynamics of the ad. No need for a psychology degree here guys, it’s usually blunt and horribly obvious. Almost all the ads on TV portray men to be stupid, bumbling, or just plain subservient to women. Sometimes you need to think about the scenario and put yourself in the mans shoes and think, “what would I be thinking if I said what he just said?”, but unfortunately, it’s usually waaaaay more obvious than that.
I used to dislike TV ads, but once I realised just how anti-male so many ads really are, now they really p~~~ me off.

Once again, sexism only seems to exist if it’s directed at women, what a crock. All the while everyone, men and women, are gently but consistently being “programmed” to treat men as resources or slaves that are barely capable of doing the most menial tasks, let alone having feelings or rights for that matter. If you don’t believe that manipulation through suggestion is that simple, watch any of Darren Browns performances. That guy makes a living out of this stuff, and when he does the reveals, you kick yourself when you realise just how little work it took.

It isn’t just commercials either, it is pretty much every comedy on tv as well.

Mainly cause I spend so much time arguing with feminists and telling them how stupid it is that they do that exact thing, reading sexism into every piece of media. So I’m not about to turn around and do the same thing but from a male perspective. But let a feminist come up and start pointing out how badly women are depicted in media and i wont hesitate to use male unsavory depictions as a counter argument. cause even tho I don’t try and look for those things, as you said they’re pretty obvious.

I’ll never forget a commercial that was referenced on the Tom Leykis Show for Carl’s Jr. It was a guy in a grocery store, staring blankly down the aisles as if he had just invaded foreign territory. The caption then came on that said “without us, some men would starve.”

I get the comedic aspect, and frankly.. I love Carl’s Jr, but I took the message of this commercial to be “hey men, you can’t cook so without a woman, you would be malnourished individuals who would starve to death.” Seriously..? As if Men can’t cook? I personally do all of my own cooking and have never needed a woman to do so. In most cases, I can cook better than any of the women that I have had over. These commercials make men look like blithering idiots that are at the mercy of women to provide food which is absolutely absurd.

I’m going to stop there… but I just had another thought…. I don’t think I know any women in my age group that can actually cook… *mind wanders*

You can look at this 2 ways.

1- that the advertisers are putting men down to show that women are superior to men. or.

2- That a women’s self esteem is so fragile that it needs propping up at every opportunity.

I personally think the second option and it makes me laugh. My self esteem is based on what I do not what others say or think.
So let them poke fun if it makes them feel better but personally i feel sorry for anyone who needs to do it.

Jason Statham film where dozens of guys are killed without a second thought or hesitation, just like that s~~~ is totally normal because it is, just to save one little girl.

Went to a Nick Cave concert and listened as the bitches and their douchebag boyfriends actually cheered when he did Stagger Lee, where the guy gets raped and murdered. How f~~~ing progressive and hip of them. needless to say I woke up to that scene, f~~~ing hypocritical liberal artiste t~~~s.

That is a played out daily, but always remember we are in a misogynist culture.

You guys are all correct. Social and gender dynamics in movies and commercials are so obviously anti-male it’s not even funny. One after the other, they are so predictable, they may as well just say “Men are stupid. Buy this product.” I’m sick of it, but I’m glad I can see it, because when I’m with a woman, I can tell how much of a bitch she is just by her reactions to commercials.

This one really p~~~ed me off. It’s about men buying women “the wrong gift”. Is there such a thing as “the wrong gift”? I don’t care what anyone says, but anything I stand in line to buy for anyone is a gift, and if she doesn’t accept it graciously, she can f~~~ right off. After seeing this commercial, women don’t get any gifts from me anymore. Even if I buy her an oily rag, she will thank me or she is gone.

They call this “hilarious”

In most cases it’s not that bad but sometimes it gets on my nerves, i’d rather see a more positive side of men.

It also reminds me of something i’ve learned in Marketing class, that all car advertisements are targeted to women.
Marketers have figured out 30 years ago that men have no say in buying a family car.
What’s even more ironic is that the car we perceive as (masculine) like SUV’s, are actually driven by women in most cases.

Interesting, i’ve noticed here in paris, but also in china, with the new generations.
Women don’t cook anymore.
Men do however. Here in europe the sexy chefs are all the rage.
Like if you want to impress a girl you need to cook for her.

I don’t think men cooking is a bad thing, in fact i’m all for men being self-suficient,
because the less we need them, the more power to us.
