I have a buddy, who would work a s~~~ty job on weekends and he spends almost everything on his GF of two years and soon she will move in.

Sometimes he would borrow money from me to spend on himself.

Seeing him spending so much money on his GF, I can’t help but think of what I did for MYSELF last half a year:

-travelling home

-travelling to two European countries

-paying for an important medical operation

-paying for fixing my teeth

-paying for two awesome and much-needed professional glasses

-I love suchi and pizza, so I order them once a week now.

I do not approve, you need to be saving every penny. Save those pennies so you can take out your future wife to all the nice places she can never afford to go. Save for the child she will push onto you. Save for the looming divorce when you catch the stay at home mom sucking off the pool boy. Save so you can live in a van!

I hear ya Rogue, I have a friend like that too. Has a girl, lives together, got married, now expecting first child. Still needs to borrow money from time to time. She doesn’t bring much to the table and his own job isn’t great either. Whenever he visits, she will call him and sometimes convinces him to leave early for no f~~~ing reason other then her goddamn moodswings. Thing is, he’s a good friend and realises what he signed up for. I do tell him to pipe down when he bitches about it too much, I feel bad for him.

Meanwhile I am enjoying god books, movies, booze, music and even women… on my own terms, always. I also fixed my teeth with surplus money, it felt good to solve my problems with hard work. Hard work does pay off, as long as there’s no woman involved to f~~~ up the work / fun ratio.

I bought myself a very nice birthday present. It sure beats saving 12 months of earnings for a stupid piece of high pressure treated carbon mined by virtual slaves or is it 4 months. I wouldn’t f~~~ing know or care……
