Imagine the outcry if they did exactly the same scenario with the genders reversed.
Go on, take a few seconds to imagine it in reverse, especially the part where a man would get his daughter to treat her mother like that.
People would be horrified. The add would immediately be pulled and the company boycotted. They could possibly face some type of criminal or civil charges.
But it’s perfectly acceptable and funny to treat men this way.

It perfectly illustrates the extreme double standards we have and why so many men are slowly and quietly boycotting society.

That idiot Nicholas Sparks once told this “touching” story of the health struggles that one of his sons went through after birth.

During that time he sent his wife to Hawaii to give her a break, apparently because she deserved it. Their marriage had become rocky and he wanted her to relax. I think this commercial, and others like it, are too numerous to be accidental, or a result of just standard variety ‘man hating’. To me, it seems more methodical, more goal directed. I suspect that ultimately, the goal would be to get all men to view themselves as these pathetic morons who deserve the disrespect as depicted. Granted, advertising is not coercive and so is one of the weaker ways to try to control people. But the weaker minds are still more likely to be influenced by it.

So even though these ads are too weak control all men, they may be just intended to bend the will of the weakest minded men. To my view, the reasoning would be that even if these ads don’t succeed in molding all men into the useful tools as depicted, they could still be useful in picking off that low hanging fruit.

Sadly, there might be some men slow and dull enough for this to be working…
