I just heard this on my local news and I wanted to tell you about this outrage. There’s a 3rd grade boy (age 9) who got banned for supporting Trump by wearing his “Made in America Again” hat with Trump’s autograph on it. According to the school, the hat is bringing up playground problems, and the kid refuses to remove the hat, and the school must protect the safety of everyone. Ha, bulls~~~!

That’s bulls~~~! A kid should be able to support who ever he wants without the political cops raining down on him. I’m sick of people getting s~~~ted on by others just for supporting Trump. It’s just wrong!

Hey @residentevil7 I don’t want to discourage you but I am the type of guy that will give you the hard facts over holding yoru hand… It sounds like you are younger (could be wrong) but I have been around the bush in the investment world (I do it for a living) and I have some advice for you…

The stick
1. That 3k you have will do nothing to buy a house, it’s not even close to the minimum of 5% which you have to have in Canada for a home. You would need at least 10-15k to get into something decent that you could flip in a few years. Any bank worth their salt also will not even have a conversation with you if you do not have some sort of job or income. Also on top of that no one will pay market value for a gaming computer or any electronic device, markups are so narrow for new stuff and there is something new coming out that trumps the old stuff on a monthly basis that it’s a losing game.

2. Properties are BLOODY EXPENSIVE over the time of ownership, there are tons of hidden costs involved like repairs… if you roof goes there is an easy 5 grand to fix. There is also mortgage interest and insurance, strata fees, utilities, etc etc etc. This over time adds up fast and actually does nothing to make you money, here is a great tool to see rough costs http://www.calculator.net/canadian-mortgage-calculator.html (there is an american one as well on that site just have to look for it). As you can see punching in the numbers will show you all the extra crap costs you have to pay that will net you no return. You need to have a good nest egg set aside for the costs that do and will come for own property.

3. TAXES!!! I hate paying tax, it usually ends up going towards something I do not believe in and or to worthless projects that corrupt/useless city planners come up with. Houses have tons of taxes added to them like property tax which usually is in the thousands of dollars.

The carrot
1. Properties do tend to go up in value over time… however it is not the house that goes up it’s the land that it sits on that goes up in value. So what you could do is buy vacant land in a decent area or close to where other development is happening and sit on it for a few years and try to sell to make some cash that way.

2. Gold and Silver are amazing and stable investments however you do not make great returns on them. Silver though I believe will be in much more demand in 10 to 20 years as it is used in solar panels. You also do not need a lot of money to get in started in it either.

My Advice
1. If you want to get into the property game they best way to do it is buy shares in REITS (real estate investment trusts). These are basically companies that own property and rent them out to tenants like Walmart or really anyone else for that matter. They are exempt from a lot of tax because most of their profits go to shareholders, they also pay a monthly distribution (like a dividend) to shareholders. You also do not need hardly any money to invest in them, to buy one share in the cheapest one I own is around 13 bucks which nets you .08 cents per share. So for example if you take your 3k and buy shares (3000 / 13 dollars) that would net you 230 shares of stock and generate you $18.46 per month (230 x .08). It’s nothing to live off of but it adds up as you can reinvest that money back in for more money next month. There are tons of REITs out there and not all are good so you will have to do your research on them, but the best thing I like about them is that I technically get to own property without any of the risk or costs of owning property.

2. Buying bullion (gold silver etc) is good at any time and I can’t really explain it much more than that lol.

Today in Washington DC was the 2016 reason rally the second reason rally that has occurred and it was a massive failure. The failure was mostly in part due to the c~~~ leadership which was about half female whom decided that instead of the rally being about actual reason made it instead more of a LGBTQ festival with the majority of it being either about LGBTQ or Women’s issues instead of in the name of reason.

I am actually pretty disappointed about what became of this rally i mean it had potential the first reason rally had over 20k people attending but the women in the leadership decided that instead of reason it should be about bulls~~~ issues like more lGBTQ rights and abortion. The whole LGBTQ and abortion issue is the reason why it had such a low turnout this year you can’t just get away with making childish rules about using someones gender pronoun and expect the same result before you had the rules.

Women have destroyed the free thought movement even thou women are more likely to align with religion then men. Few women are atheists yet the few women atheists somehow managed to f~~~ up an event that could have been a changing movement in history. I can see why Donald trump is popular now.

Teaching them not to run off should be a priority, which if done right, wont take enough years that require safe spaces when they grow up. Thats a slippery slope argument based on pure conjecture.

It’s an observation based on over 15 years of parenting. Here’s the thing about parenting that cats won’t teach you. You see, you aren’t training your cat to be a grown up, adult cat that will leave you and be expected to live on their own. For the first six months of parenting, you do EVERYTHING for you kid, because they can’t do anything. After that, parenting is a process of letting go. Letting them learn for themselves, make mistakes, nurturing, teaching, etc. The only difference in parenting styles is how fast or slow you let go (other than dirt bag crappy parents).

So a huge part of parenting is trying to figure out how much independence to give a kid at any given time. It would appear in this situation that she gave too much, although I still blame to zoo. The ENTIRE F~~~ING PURPOSE of the zoo is to let you see the animals up close in an environment where you can’t get to them and they can’t get to you. That’s the only way a zoo works. So, really, it’s 100% the zoo’s fault that they built a s~~~ty f~~~ing barrier that let someone through. If the kid had wandered off and got lost, I would blame the parent. If the kid gets though Donald Trump’s wall at the border then his f~~~ing wall sucks.

But let me ask you a question. Do you think that every other parent that doesn’t have their kid on a leash is also liable? After all, they made that woman think that it was safe to have a kid off leash. Should all parents be required to have all kids on a leash at all times? Just because they didn’t run off doesn’t mean they won’t.

And, yeah, the helicopter parents have lead to safe spaces at college. Too many of those kids have parents who jump in too quickly and don’t let them figure things out on their own. And then when you finally cut the umbilical cord at 18, they can’t handle it.

And please don’t take that as an indictment of the current younger generation. There’s a lot of them that have their s~~~ together and are cool people. But there’s an awful lot of them that are big self-entitled brats too. But for every one of you on this site, there’s probably 100 male (not men) feminist pussies that think he’s going to get laid tonight by that hairy armpit feminist chick with the blow horn if he just agrees with her enough.
